{ yosemite - part 1 }

Hello everyone! I've managed to turn work into play this week with a trip to Yosemite (I have a beautiful wedding to photograph here on Thursday, can't wait!). It is soooo gorgeous here, I can't put my camera down... Here are just a few of the photos I've taken so far-

Over the weekend I got a much needed family fix and just thought I'd share some of the photos I took on my 'weekend off.' I never seem to be able to keep my camera in it's bag for long when Stella and Lucy are around, though... they're way too cute! Happy Birthday/Father's Day, Papa! And Happy 50th... er, I mean 35th, Aunt CC! Love you lots...

These cupcakes were ginormous! Stella was a hot mess by the time she was done attacking it...

Check out my awesome little nephew! He can't stand me being behind the camera (he gets mad and demands that I play with him instead, LOL), but for some reason he let me snap a few photos of him last time I babysat - whoohoo!

He yells, "Appp000000!" every time he sees these photos.

Get that camera out of here, mean Auntie Manda...

Nothing makes him smile like attacking me with his Spiderman =)

You're looking at the next Twilight star... or so Amanda hopes :-D

Amanda is a good friend of mine (nothing like having a cool name to bring people together) so when she asked me to do her headshots I said I'd be happy to. I got to pick the spot, so of course I chose my fave: the Orange Circle where I knew there would be some great green walls to bring out her awesome eyes.

Cross your fingers and maybe the next time you see her will be on the big screen.

Mia and I have been meaning to do a photo shoot for quite some time now... and we finally did it! I met her at her apartment in West LA and had so much fun discovering new places to shoot in her neighborhood. Isn't she beautiful? I have serious hair envy...

Oh, and her make-up was done by the fabulous Vanessa Caroline.

This photo shoot was of one of THE most fun families I've worked with! They all get along so great and really know how to make each other laugh and smile- and the boys had some funny 'your mom' jokes to keep me laughing, too. We met in Old Towne Orange and really got a chance to find all the great textures and corners available. I think it's officially my favorite place to shoot. 

Oh! And the rain must've gotten my memo... it stayed away and the sun even came out, yay! 

Aaron and Brody are NOT twins! Can you believe they're 2 years apart?

One of the boys actually told us that Melissa had to bend her leg so her foot stuck out for this shot... Isn't that cute? He had a good idea...

Ok. I love June gloom, but not when it means it's going to rain on my photo shoot! Too bad the rain didn't get my memo and soaked me and my clients about 10 minutes into our shoot at the park. I swear I check the weather report and it did NOT say rain! Ashley, Sterling and their adorable little girls were great sports, though. And, even though I only got a precious few shots in before we got drenched, I had fun at the shoot. Keep and eye out in the next few weeks for part 2...
