Miguel + Dina.... married!

Dina and Miguel have been so amazing to work with. I really couldn't have asked for a cuter/sweeter/awesomer couple (yes, in my world 'awesomer' is a word). Their wedding day was nothing short of amazing and I'm honestly sad that it's over. Now they just have to have babies so I can photograph them again! I kid, I kid... sort of.

Here are a few of my favorites of the day. Have a great weekend!

And don't forget to check out more of Dina and Miguel's wedding here:

I love the Sheraton's decor....

I wish my hair would curl like that... sigh.

Madly in love with the ring bearer pillow made by Denise at Dee's Petals... have you ever seen something like that before? Love.

How incredibly gorgeous does Dina look?

We went over to the Fairplex for photos... I had no idea it was such a gorgeous place!

These ladies know how to work it for the videographer (the awesome Kiera Faye)

Dina's wedding gift to Miguel.

Love the light, LOVE the newlyweds.

They were all smiles for the rest of the night...

Check out this awesome shot my 2nd shooter got... I love it!

I've been having fun with the ring shots lately...

{ amanda + randy are engaged! }

Sooooooooo... Amanda and Randy are pretty much awesome. They laugh, they joke, they picked an awesome place to have their engagement session... and one of them has a particularly cool name (just sayin').

I'd forgotten how gorgeous San Juan Capistrano is. It's so full of texture and color, my two favorite things to incorporate into my photos. Then add a cute couple and I'm all set. Here are a few of my favorites of the day... keep an eye out for their wedding photos coming in the fall where you'll see lots more color (yellow + orange!). Happy Wednesday!

I'll start things off with my favorite shot of the day:

Why, hello gorgeous...

Randy liked this random window... so we hung out with it for a bit.

Yellow!!

Randy was always saying something under his breath to make Amanda laugh... don't know what he was saying, but it made for great photos :-)

Love...

Randy and Amanda,
I can't wait for your wedding in September! Thanks for having me :-)

{ eddie + vanesa are engaged! }

When I met Eddie and Vanesa two a few weeks ago for their wedding consultation I was secretly crossing my fingers under the table, hoping they would hire me. They were so easy-going and sweet, and I really liked them instantly. I could just tell they made a good team, ya know?

They also got extra points for being awesome because they have the best gift registry items ever! Eddie got ahold of the registry gun at Target and scanned a Nerf gun, video games, a stereo system... and not to leave Vanesa out, he found a Barbie with dark hair and a purple dress to match Vanesa and the wedding. He told me Vanesa had never had a barbie before and that she needed one. How cute is that?

PS. Guess what I got them for an early wedding gift. Yup, the Nerf gun and the Barbie! The checker at Target gave me the oddest look when I asked her to take those items off the registry, "These toys are on the registry? Is it birthday party? A wedding?! Oh."

Anyway, here are some of my favorites from the day. They were troopers trespassing with me, changing into and out of heels every 2 minutes, and looking hot in her dress even though it was freezing outside (Vanesa, not Eddie, haha).

My favorite from the day!

All the flowers were so fun to play with :-)

Vanesa, you're gorgeous!

The sun would NOT come out and play... but the cloudy sky is actually pretty cool.

Yay laughing!

Nice job on the ring, Eddie!

( Jazzy's 9 months old!!!! }

It's Jazelle time again... and she's getting so big! Remember when she was just born?

Now look! Who said she could grow up so fast? Tear, sniffle....

I've been so lucky to be this family's photographer. They are really are dream clients... I LUUUUUUV working with them and I owe them big this time... Keep your eye out for them in the next couple months... they'll be back on the blog in a fancy new spot. And this time there will be sound and motion ;-)

It's amazing how much teeth will change a baby's face. Cute!

Ahhhh! Jazzy's gonna slime me!

I love these kinds of photos... she won't use bottles forever. This little calm moment in time is fleeting...

Cheeks!

Haha! I've got a leaf and I'm gonna eat it! And Mom and Dad can't see me... and this lady with the camera has her hands full. Sweet!

Who you honking at?!

{ colette's catering }

So when I emailed Colette of Colette's Catering a few weeks ago I honestly had no idea how amazing her catering empire was. I had driven by her shop before... or so I thought. Turns out she has the most beautiful NEW place and quite the fantastic business. I was in total awe when I walked in the door. And then totally intimidated... until I met everyone. Everyone is not only insanely talented, but super nice and down to earth. I knew I was in for some fun.

I had emailed Colette thinking I should introduce myself to more local vendors and offer my services to any businesses that needed photos. Apparently I had great timing because she just so happened to have some fun cakes scheduled for that weekend and needed action shots of her 'Cake Goddesses' working their magic. And, of course, I was happy to oblige :-)

Colette,
Thanks so much for allowing me to shoot photos of everyone in action. You have an amazing business and I had a great time. Hope to work with you again :-)

This was actually a cake in their showroom..... ahhhhh-mazing, huh?

Theresa made this look sooooooo easy... I'm sure I would have made a huge mess of it, though.

These little birds were hand-made by Theresa... I was in love!

She made this look so effortless!

The guys in the catering area were hilarious. They were always talking and laughing as they worked.

To be honest I don't even like mushrooms... but I bet I would have liked these. They smelled so good!

Even appetizers look like art.
