{ andy + kymm } San Diego Wedding Photographer

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

My nephew woke up at the crack of dawn and tore through his Santa gifts, I ate too much french toast, exchanged gifts with my hubby, and have found myself with a few minutes of calm before it's time to pack up and head out to my family's house in Palm Springs. So, with A Christmas Story on the tube, I thought I'd blog the Christmasy wedding I shot last weekend in San Diego.

Andy and Kymm's wedding was actually a re-wedding. They've been married for 25 years and decided to celebrate by renewing their vows... and this time around their adorable son, Landen got to play a big part and get married with them. It was a day full of tears, smiles, and hugs... and I was honored to be a part of it.

Their home is so gorgeous...

May I just say, Landen is one of the most beautiful kids I have ever seen... and he's so funny. He made me laugh all day long.

Couldn't resist their golden retriever...

The Immaculata is stunning! And so is Kymm...

Landen took his job very seriously.

I loved their colors... the antique gold is my new favorite color.

Just look at this beautiful room... don't you just want to curl up by the fire?

The flowers were gorgeous... I was in love with the beaded details.

Details!

There are so many reasons why this wedding was amazing... for one I love shooting with Stephanie of Stephanie Ann Photography (thanks for having me along!). Second, everything was absolutely gorgeous (seriously, from the bride + groom to the location to the details). Third... everyone was so fun and sweet and in love with each other (sentimental tears and laughter everywhere). Here are some of my favorites of the day... brace yourself, there are a lot :-)

Meghan was stunning! And the bridesmaids were SO fun...

The guys never know how to do this...

Super, ridiculously awesome hotel in Long Beach called The Hotel Maya (and it was a good thing their lobby was amazing because the rain just wouldn't stop!)

I couldn't resist these colors behind her... they pick up the color in her eyes so well...

Whoa!

This sofa in the bridal room at the Ebell Club in Long Beach was pretty much the best ever... too bad it didn't fit in my purse.... just kidding. Kinda.

I luuuuuuuuuv the first time a groom sees his bride! Look at his smile!

The officiant was pretty funny :-)

I love smiling, it's my favorite (yup, been watching Elf this holiday season...)

The toasts given at this wedding were amazing.... they were funny, heartfelt, and so genuine.

{ waiting for roman } Orange County Maternity Photographer

I have to say that I have been impatiently awaiting this photo shoot for a loooooong time. Seriously it seemed to take forever to get here.... and, if I'm being totally honest, I am NOT a super patient person when I get excited about something.

Kirstie contacted me a couple months ago and said she was looking for maternity photos... whoohoo! I love meeting first time parents. Their excitement and energy is so amazing to see and so fun to photograph. But then Kirstie really got me going when she said she wanted something a bit different (no hearts on the belly for her!)... she wanted something colorful and filled with texture and architecture... right up my alley!

So here you go... I had just as much fun (if not more) as I thought I would. Kirstie and Nick are an absolutely amazing couple and I can't wait to see them as Mommy and Daddy when little Roman is born in February (keep your eye out for his newborn photos!).

Happy Monday!

One of my favorites... testing out a new black and white conversion... you like?

One of my favorite walls...

My favorite of the day:

BTW, did I mention the Kirstie is probably the cutest/coolest/nicest mom-to-be? Ever?

Thanks for being my human light stand, Josh!
