{ my kiddos! }

I knew I'd be missing these little faces once the reality of not being their nanny sunk in, so I decided I'd better snap some photos. On my last day I braved the summer heat and the chaos of taking 6 kids out in public by myself and forced them to pose for photos... and now I understand how moms can turn into psychos during photo shoots LOL.

It was tough and I think we all had a meltdown at some point (Zane's glasses broke, Parker didn't like hugging the other kids, Seth kept knocking everyone down... ahhhh!), but it was SO WORTH IT! In my first week working from home it sure is good to see these silly faces... I love them :-)

Aren't they all absolutely gorgeous? Josh and I are spoiled with ridiculously cute kids... in fact, Josh says if our kid doesn't come out of the womb cute he's pushing it back in. Whatta jerk, huh? LOL

My only rule was for their parents and that was that they could wear whatever they wanted... I wanted to remember them just the way they were right then.

I can't decide which of these next 3 is my favorite... they're all so fun! Kids love them some jumping...

{ baby olivia }

Baby Olivia is here and she's pretty much the cutest... but then again, her big sister is pretty much the cutest, too. Don't believe me? Here's evidence:

I love sleepy baby lips!

Big sister love!

Natalie, I heart you

Mom wasn't expecting to be in photos... but she looked so pretty I made her do it!

Sweet dreams :-)

{ flower girls + ring bearers }

Yay! It's Friday! It's been a crazy week for me and I have a ton of photos to share with you... but for now here are some fun ones from a little project I did with Jen K Floral Design and The Hope Chest a few weeks ago. We thought it would be fun to show off some unique floral wedding designs... for kids!

Jen K does some amazing things with flowers... in fact you should check out more of her work at www.jenkfloraldesign.com. Or, even better, stop by her adorable shop in the Orange Circle off Lemon and Chapman... I'm sure you know someone that could use a bouquet of flowers this weekend :-)

And while you're down there you should stop by The Hope Chest and take a peek at all their cute kid stuff... they have some great sales going on right now and are getting great new things in every day.

Now on to the photos!

Special thanks to Linda Ly from Grand Soirees Event Design & Coordination... this adorable little model is her daughter, Sophie.

Jen happens to have some adorable nieces and nephews that came out to model for us, too.

I am in love with this princess design! What little girl wouldn't want one of these?

Sassy!

I'm especially in love with this simple little green headpiece... and this dress is what inspired me to do this shoot. It's just perfect:

Perfect for the beach...

And something sweet and a little more traditional...

Thank you Jen for all your hard work and beautiful creations! I loved working with you... you're so fun :-) Tell your sisters I said thank you for taking the day off work and dealing with the heat to make this shoot possible. Their kiddos did a great job!

Thank you to The Hope Chest, too! I luuuuuuuuv your kid's clothes! And thanks for lending Luka and Rylee to me for a couple hours... they made great little models.

{ Jazzy is ONE! }

This is such a bittersweet post! I'm always excited to photograph Jazzy, but I'm sad this time because it was her last official shoot of the year... I can't believe she's already one! The Touzard family has easily become one of my most favoritist clients (ever!) and this past year with them has been amazing... now they just need to get started on baby #2 so I can see them regularly again... JK. Well, kind of...

Anyway, here are some of my favorites from her latest shoot... be sure to click on the slideshow at the bottom to see her photos from the whole year :-)

Apparently Jazzy knows how old she is...

Her favorite part about wearing sunglasses? Taking them off LOL.

Gee, I wonder where she gets all her gorgeous hair from?

Omigosh, she was having SO MUCH FUN!

We shot at their house this whole year and I never ran out of beautiful places to photograph...

Remember this chair from her newborn photos?! She's so big! Sniffle, sniffle...

Haha, I couldn't resist including an outtake photo... this is her new favorite facial expression. I actually got more of these looks than smiles...

Of course we had to get a shot in the car...

Peek-a-boo!

One of my favorites from the day... the light was just amazing.

And last, but not least, Jazzy threw me a perfectly cheesy smile. Love!

{ Roman is 4 months old! }

I just have to start by saying that I am madly in love with this family! I first became smitten when I did their maternity session, then I realized it was something more when I took Roman's newborn portraits... and now I'm head over heels. PS I swear I'm not a stalker! They're just super awesome :-) Check out these photos and you'll see why:

We met at the Dana Point Harbor because it's their favorite family spot to walk around and relax.

Uh.... helloooooooo ridiculously cute baby!

YAY COLOR!

Awe, he's ticklish :-)

Our little man konked out mid-shoot... stinker!

He woke up! And he had some super funny faces ready for the next round of photos. Seriously Josh (my husband) and I were cracking up as I went through the photos for the first time.

For example:

And check out this picture perfect little boat Kirstie spotted as we were leaving... we helped ourselves to a few photos in it... I love how Kirstie just went for it and plopped Roman right down into it. Anything for the shot!

Well peace out everyone! Keep your eyes peeled for my blog posts from NEW YORK in the next few days!!!
